Is there a way to disable the lock screen or switch user profiles?

Hey, does anyone know if there's a way to disable the lock screen or switch between user profiles without needing to enter a PIN or use biometrics? Thank you

You'll need to do this for each profile that you want disabled.

Go to "Settings" >> "Security and Privacy" >> "Device Unlock" >> "Screen Lock" >> enter your current PIN >> select "None"

Got one more question, sorry for not trying myself but i dont have a pixel phone yet.

With the pin turned off, would i be able to create a macro that switches between user profiles seamlessly?

Seamlessly meaning that I won't have to swipe up to unlock screen or do any type of action. Just taking me directly to the home screen or to where i left off last time I used that profile.

Peti your phone is a smart device and many things can be done with automation apps, but I don't think it can do what you ask. Such action requires deep level system integration which I doubt will be supported. It doesn't hurt to be realistic in your expectations.

I was able to set it up on my Xiaomi with MacroDroid and Activity Launcher. Activity Launcher would create a shortcut to the user profiles and all I had to set up on MacroDroid was to tap on the shortcut and then select the user profile. So only 2 actions with some waiting time in between.

On Xiaomi I can disable the PIN so when the macro switches profiles it just takes me back where I left off on that user profile, which is what I would like to happen on GOS.

What specific limitation on GOS would prevent this setup from working? Is it due to restricted access to user profiles, system security measures, or something else?

Peti someone else will have to chime in on this. I will not simulate your use case, this is not how I use my devices. I used to tinker with such things while I was using stock Android. Now my setup is simple, with all apps in the same profile, utilizing built-in controls to restrict app's behaviour (those that I am comfortable to use). Apps with accessibility access not natively supported by OS are not recommended.

And has this been tried on GrapheneOS? People sometimes assume that certain apps won't function on GrapheneOS because of its "hardening", while in practice, most apps work fine. I think that SgtSurehand was referring to such a feature likely not being included in the OS by default in the future.

I took a brief glance at Macrodroid's website, and as I expected it seems to require being granted accessibility permissions.
