sierk25 Hello, I'm using my pixel 6a for about two weeks now and yesterday it suddenly stopped receiving any location data. I tried GPSTest but it just says no satellites available. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I'm currently in Japan if that matters.
GrapheneOS sierk25 Are you outdoors? Did you change anything about the OS location configuration? Not getting satellite reception indoors in a concrete building is expected. You need network-based location to handle that. Do you use sandboxed Google Play, and how do you have that configured if you do?
sierk25 GrapheneOS I was indoors but it also didn't work outside in the city and when I was on a Mountain today it worked. Is that normal? I didn't change anything in the OS location config (if I did then by accident idk) and I use sandboxed Google Play. I think it's on default I haven't changed anything.
GrapheneOS sierk25 No, that's not normal. It should work perfectly fine outside. Something is likely wrong with the configuration of the apps or OS. If it was completely not working anywhere that would probably be a hardware failure of GNSS. It sounds more like you've stopped PSDS and/or SUPL from working by disabling them or blocking connections. Perhaps other issues too.
sierk25 GrapheneOS How can I fix that? I have no idea what that is. Edit: Both is set on GrapheneOS proxy/server I turned wifi scanning on and now it works but I think I had it disabled on all the devices I had before
