Privacy benefits of using Android Auto on GrapheneOS vs Pixel stock?

Specifically, if I switched back to stock, what privacy features would I be losing?

My threat model is just concern about sensitive data from my phone being leaked to my car manufacturer and third-parties by using android auto - both from a creep factor and a data security standpoint.

I'm having a hard time finding out if the work GrapheneOS did with Android Auto was just to make it work or if there are GrapheneOS exclusive privacy features. For example, even on stock, you can uncheck "Wireless Android Auto." Is that not the same as the GrapheneoS "Allow permissions for wireless Android Auto?"

Pros

Allows you to select the permissions you want, don't want contact access over AA? just disable it.
Its a standard Android app not a privileged app, it follows the rules set by the improved sandbox etc, unless your run it in compatibility mode, but even then its not privileged.
You could build a dedicated "car" profile, which has say Spotify, Google Maps etc for AA only.

Cons (Only 1 from my experience)

No "Hey Google", you can still get it to work but you have to tap the mic button instead (this also requires the Google app and Speech services from Google play, and has to be Google play, not Aurora)

For me, I have AA in my main profile, and then it has all permissions except network and sensors, I then use plexamp and here we go maps, and all works fine, the AA apps use their own permissions for network over AA.
