USB settings disabled

I have had USB working in the past for data transfer, but can't work out how to use it now. USB Preferences does not appear in the Connected Devices menu. If I go straight from search to USB Preferences all options are greyed out. If I plug in a USB cable, the device tells me it is charging. USB-C Port is 'on' in Exploit protection. I guess I am missing or have accidentally turned off another USB master switch option somewhere; where is it?

Hello, I am having a similar issue to @navtis. I am unable to change "usb controlled by" settings to "this device" and all other options are greyed out on my Pixel8 I was able to change the default usb preferences in developer mode but this has not allowed any change in actual USB-C functionality. The phone still charges but will not allow file transfers.

I had the same problem when there was dirt in the usb socket.

Anyone have a solution to this one yet? I'm trying to import/export data from my macbook and having the same problem
