VPN on Demand (via Extension) not comimg?

I wonder if we mobile Users will ever be able to get into the experience of a VPN on Demand.
The reason I stay away from full_VPN is the thing that it can drain the battery. And for this case the benefit of the VPN isn't enough for me.

Because then I'd prefer without VPN with extra measures to not sharing personal related data but with a capable Phone in my pocket.

With that said I'd love to see a trustworthy Browser enabling VPN Configurations build in. I'm wondering Brave saw never the needs implementing it but rather getting critizised over it with monetary decision making elements maybe inside it.

So when KiWI Browser ^^ can implement it in their Chomium why cant someone big get with it?
And I prefer a trustworthy Browser bc I dont want to step over now to Avast Browser or who knows.

Mullvad VPN drain 2% for a 12h usage.
Same for Wireguard standalone app.
A bit more for IVPN but not much

When I use the VPN in main profile it will affect the private space also when opening it right? Unlike other user profiles.

I use Mulvad VPN 24/7. My battery drain is fine. I have GrapheneOS and three other apps, the VPN being one of them. However I use my phone as a phone, calls messages, some email. Nothing else. I use my laptops for everything else.
On a daily basis I have never seen my battery drop below 50%. I understand you might not be able or want to use your phone in a similar fashion, but the VPN I use does not seem to be battery intensive.

TGOS You need the VPN in the private space too.

And I use IVPN and can also confirm low battery usage with it.

The VPN is under evaluation its been installed for 3 weeks out of a one month purchase, but left on 24/7 without draining my battery.
I don't use VOIP, but an unlimited everything eSim for calls and data. I don't use WiFi at all.
I don't need to hide from any 3 letter agencies, If I did I would not be on this forum highlighting my existence!
The VPN is for the email and messaging apps and for whenever I need vanadium.
I probably could get away with Orbot, but this is why I am evaluating MullvadVPN, it may be a better alternative.

Yeah private space and each profiles you set up need a VPN. The VPN isn't global from the owner.

I'll have to evaluate this further. Til now it was hard to say if I'm good with just a encrypted DNS like adguard (like recommended) and with it shielding my data from ISP. For rest of apps like Whatsapp (which works astonishingly good with direct APK Link) Molly or Telegram X using mostly Proxys. And paralell waiting for a good VPN Browser.

But if VPN's battery usage is that low I will evaluate if my next step will be a VPN+DNS or i. e. adblock combo to integrate like NextDNS. Or baremetal Proton VPN , we'll see.

Does someone know if that's normal on all android devices that the "private DNS" option to select ( DoT) is be used not just on the WiFi but also on Cellular mobile networks?
