SovereignCopper I went from Another Notes to https://f-droid.org/en/packages/io.github.quillpad/ It's still being developed and has a slightly better UX imho, although I miss that checked list items don't jump to their original position when unchecked, like in Another Notes. I don't use the Nextcloud sync (yet).
TGOS ivicaivica tried Notesnook yesterday and immediately switched over. Much more features and offline usable.
SovereignCopper NotallyX has some interesting extra features over Notally and looks more modern. It does have soms annoying bugs, though, for example with the (new feature) subtasks. https://github.com/PhilKes/NotallyX
phone-company I use notesnook, standard notes and notally x ..... I think i will change completly to notesnook.
SovereignCopper I don't get that. Am I the only one who thinks the Notesnook UI is messy, convoluted and counterintuitive? Plus, I wonder what the Notesnook tried to perform DCL via memory entails for Notesnook exactly.
DeletedUser87 SovereignCopper Am I the only one who thinks the Notesnook UI is messy, convoluted and counterintuitive? Maybe. The UI pretty much looks exactly like NotallyX. Layout-wise. The scrollable tool bar is actually neat imo. DCL via memory could mean a bunch of things. It's still in very active development, so I guess they still need to iron out a few things.
Van-de-GraaffeneOS Dang, time for me to pop some tabs open and look into some of these. I was only aware of two apps for this task: Markor and Fossify Notes. Killjoy I believe that's proprietary. Not saying that's necessarily dangerous, but it may not be suitable for some threat models.
Graphene1 I use Notesnook. Tried them all and I stuck to this one. Very close second for me was Obsidian although that seemed to do more than I needed
spl4tt On my PC I use nvim with a directoiry and .md files. I sync that one via my nextcloud instance, so I was looking for an app that could do exactly that, read and edit my nextcloud directory with my markdown files. Only one app could do that: Quillpad. But the sync feature doesn't work right for me, so I went a more extreme way: I just open termux und edit with nvim. Like on my pc. Same plugins and all. I sync those notes from my phone via syncthing then.
nandohyphen1 I use NotallyX from F Droid. Its a perfect note app for me. Does what I want without doing too much. https://f-droid.org/packages/com.philkes.notallyx
