Does Google Play need sensors permission to provide precise location?

In Google Location Accuracy, it says Google Play needs GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and Sensors to provide precise location. Should I enable sensors for Google Play when using it as location backend?

Upstate1618 It likely knows how to use it to help adjust location based on movement for network location.

We know the stock Pixel OS uses Play services to enhance the OS provided GNSS-based location in a way that's exclusive to the Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. That part won't work on GrapheneOS regardless of configuration since it doesn't have the necessary access.

It might be using sensors to detect how fast your accelerating and in what direction, so enabling it may improve location.

Rough location can be estimated using sensors based on a known previous or future location.
