Desktop browser security: Brave vs Safari (lockdown mode)

How do these two browsers compare in terms of security on desktop? How much worse is WebKit sandboxing compared to Chromium? Has the situation improved recently?

I would like to do further reading on this so any comparative, technical blogs or articles would be appreciated. Thanks!
