Smlvox I've been looking to transfer files from my phone to my desktop and vice versa. I'm using Linux on my desktop and of course GOS for my phone. My desktop does recognize my phone with local send but my phone doesn't pick up my desktop. I have the same issue with printing from my phone where it doesn't recognize my printer. KDE connect, I can't get to connect either way. I'm thinking and hoping it's something simple that I'm overlooking in settings somewhere. And yes it's on the same WiFi
Probably9857 Smlvox In your VPN app, make sure you have local network access enabled. Mullvad calls it Local Network Sharing. Not sure about Proton. Then you need to disable Block Connections without VPN, in Settings > Network & internet > VPN > gear icon
Smlvox Probably9857 Local network was enabled but disabling block connections worked for KDE connect 👍 No luck on the printer issue or local send.
missing-root Smlvox localsend works with this setup using MullvadVPN, printing too. This is a protonVPN issue.
Smlvox missing-root I've been doing a lot of research on this through this forum and others. Mullvad seems to be many peoples favorite VPN. It looks like Mullvad and Proton are the top 2 according to many. If Mullvad works better with GOS I might look into going with a second VPN.
