Having problems with duplicate keypresses

I have been having this issue for a while now, and the extent varies depending on what I'm doing. Examples :

Browsing (Vanadium or Brave) - no issues
Signal - happens about a third to half the time
Logging in after phone restart - almost all the time.

I just installed the latest update and had a terrible time getting logged in (exacerbated by the fact that you can't make what you've typed visible 😢).

I'm using the Futo keyboard but if I'm not mistaken the keyboard on device restart is the stock AOSP keyboard, is that correct?

Anyhow I really need a solution to this before I get locked out for good.

I don't see any settings for 'key repeat' but maybe I've missed it.

Speeduser7533 Do you use a screen protector and/or have you by any chance set the option to increase touch screen sensitivity?

I'll turn off the "Increase touch sensitivity" option and see if that resolves it.

I've had this problem too, trying to input my password with florisboard. With screen protector, increase touch sensitivity disabled. I've noticed that the screen seems to be a bit more sensitive for a short time after rebooting. It affects more than just the keyboard
