I use a 6a. I came from an iphone 13 Pro.
I purchased a 6a as a foray into Android/GOS, with the intention of upgrading to a 7 when the time came.
Honestly, I'm quite happy with the 6a and have no immediate need to upgrade. I like the size of the 6a and the 7 is quite close to the 6a in that regard. I regularly switch between 2-4 profiles, two of which have always-on VPNs running in the background, and the 6a handles this beautifully.
Battery life isn't amazing on the 6a but then again I am running VPNs on multiple profiles. And, to be honest, it's not like the battery life is terrible at all - I'm able to get through a day with reasonable use, which for me means podcasts, signal texts, web browsing, emails.
The 60hz screen on on the 6a is a total non-issue for me. The camera on the 6a produces sharp and lively images.
I have not used a 7 and so one thing I am not sure about is how much better the ram performance is compared to the 6a. Obviously, the 7's specs are for more RAM, however I'm overall pleased with the 6a's ram performance. Apps sometimes do not stay open in memory for very long but it's possible that these occasional hiccups could be attributed to Android itself and not so much the 6a, although I could be wrong about that. I can only compare the 6a's ram performance to the iPhone 13 Pro - the iPhone wins, but again, this could be an OS thing.
In closing I'd say, if I thought I'd be happier with the 7 I'd go grab one - but I'm quite happy with the 6a and plan to stay with it till the 8 series.
