RCS issues with IOS 18 and MMS

I searched but didn't find any info on this. I am recently having issues with group chats using the standard messaging app/textra/whatever. People in my group chats are getting my messages but I'm not receiving theirs.

My wife has an iPhone running IOS 18 (just updated) and she noted that now, in her message line, she sees "Text messaging • RCS" which is new. Several iPhone users I know said the same.

It's not always the case. If I start an MMS with another android in the group and an iPhone, the iPhone users will not default to RCS but once a group is essentially 'flagged' for RCS, I get no messages if in the group chat but they still get mine.

Anyone else experience this or have a suggestion to fix?

Maybe your number is still registered for RCS. Try using this to deregister.

Did you figure out a fix to this? I am a new Graphene user coming from iOS and am having the same issue. I have deregistered with I message and using the link provided by the previous reply.
