System_server crashes looping restarts: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

Hello,

without any changes beside normal use of the phone, suddenly my pixel 6 pro continuously restarts because of the system_server crash. It crashes so fast, I just managed to take a photo and cannot copy the error code. I used a ocr-tool the get the error from the image:

I already updated the os via adb sideload to the latest beta. But the error returns.

Maybe someone can help me with this. This would be super nice.

Thanks, but the problem is the same there. Therefore it cannot be a result of a installed app. Because they are all deactivated there. Or I am wrong?

I think I have to factory reset the phone. I just fear the work to reinstall all the apps.

True, but if there are more reports the developers might look into it more (perhaps adding code to capture more information).

Were any apps installed recently? Was the stock launcher in use, or some other launcher?

grapheneos-user I think I have to factory reset the phone. I just fear the work to reinstall all the apps.

Unfortunately that seems as if it may be necessary.

I use the stock launcher. And in the safe mode the problem is also persistent. Therefore a installed app cannot be the reason, if I understand this correct. But even if a app is the reason. I don`t know which one... There is no recently installed app.

grapheneos-user Unfortunately, I'm also thinking a factory reset is the only way forward at this point. If the phone is still restarting right after starting up, there's not much you can do anyway.

Other things that maybe you can try first but may not help can be:

take out the SIM card if it's in the phone
try to enable airplane mode if you have time or start up the phone somewhere where it can't connect to wifi
if anything is plugged into the USB C port at the bottom (like headphones), unplug it/them

It might be helpful if you could get the full log, but it sounds like the phone restarts too quickly.
