thanks for the explaination, i consider myself just a little above the regular phone user so it interests me to get in the needy and greedy on how things works.
you say it doesn't has to respect permission because it's a privileged system app.
i have seen system apps that force you to enable permissions, for instance the phone services app require phone permissions and a few others, there is no way to disable it because it's greyed out. google play services on the other hand, it's possible (albeit the activity recognition permission) to disable them. it makes me assume the permission toggle is actually working.
Beside, that would be a huge issue on privacy law if google play services could still acess data when the checkbox is disabled. That's legal basis for trial and conviction, at least in europe.
Is there anything that can confirms that the google play service and google service framework can access data when their permissions are set to off ??
