which cloud with native file access are you using?

Hello, I'm new to GrapheneOS.
I want to set up an alternative to Google Drive that works with native file access. My usage is to read books or watch videos (e.g. with mpv) directly from the storage.

I don't want to download these files, then look for them in ~/Downloads in order to watch them. Just consume the content already in the cloud.

I don't require that it's encrypted either.

Jellyfin + self-hosted Nextcloud

I use it for streaming my music, but it was originally focused on video. It can supposedly be used for ebooks too, but I haven't tried that.

daniel8081 I presume by "native file access" you actually mean "storage access framework"? Use Nextcloud. The Nextcloud application implements storage access framework. Also from within the Nextcloud application, you can select a file to "stream with" some application, such as streaming a video to VLC (which also has the ability to natively "cast" to a chromecast device).

Not really sure what @Probably9857 is suggesting with "jellyfin" -- it doesn't seem at all relevant. Some kind of a media server?

Yes, Jellyfin is a media server. Seems at least a little relevant to me, but OP can disregard if not.
