Ridesharing services (Lyft, Uber) not working w/o Google Play Services?

Any suggestions on using these services or similar when you get this error message after downloading the Lyft app?

cjn2111 If an app is written to require Play Services, then running the app most likely will require Play Services.

Could use the web page / PWA instead. Not perfect but usable

Make working profile with Shelter app and install Lyft and Google Play Service sandboxed (GPS from Apps) in this profile.
That way you could use Lyft without need to login to separate profile.
But don't share any data from your private profile to any google services.
