Skype incoming call not functioning

Hi, I have installed skype via aurora on a pixel 8, it receives messages, I can write and call others, however I cannot receive Skype calls from my contacts, it does not sound, in fact after closing all other gear I have with Skype logged in when someone tries to call me it is as if I am not logged in with graphene despite being able to make calls, - I just cannot revcieve them - settings all look fine. Thanks in advance

Sorry just to clarify - when someone tries to call me via Skype the graphene phone appears to not be logged into Skype despite it being logged in as I can message them and call them

I haven't tested that app but it's possible that it relies on FCM for push notifications including incoming calls when the app is idle.

If that's the case, then you would need to install Google Play Services to reliably receive incoming call notifications.

You could try testing that by installing Skype and Google Play Services in a test user profile, and getting somebody to ring you whilst you have the app closed.

treequell Thanks very much i will look into it, i havent looked into using any google services as privately as possible as yet, so will have to do that, it makes sense.
