DeletedUser182 If you’re so much of a target that firmware could be a concern, I don’t think that you should use Qubes either, because it’s not that secure, even if it’s more secure than regular desktop Linux distros.
To be fair, nothing is ideal. I’m left choosing from a series of bad options. For my situation, leaning towards options which aim to protect my freedom, anonymity, and privacy generally outweigh the downside of having fewer security features. But I still want to pick the best of that bunch security-wise, which is why I’m looking at Qubes OS. Virtual machines are going to be an essential part of my workflow anyways so it’s nice to have it integrated into a desktop OS.
