In Contacts App, change local contact to cloud contact (or merge)

Hey, I have a contact for the same person with overlapping content saved as a local (on phone) contact and in my Nextcloud contacts list (via DavX5). Is there a way to merge the two so that it's just a cloud contact, or do I have to manually copy over fields from the local to the cloud copy in order to do this? In a related concept, if I have a phone-only contact that I want to make a cloud contact, is that possible?

ecs I ended up just exporting the local contracts, deleting them, then reimporting them to nextcloud. Using the stock contacts app

I don't think the default contacts application can do any of that. There are probably other contact managers you can install that can.

Edit: Fossify contacts can move contacts between device and nextcloud.

There's also a bunch of stuff in play store that claims to be able to merge contacts, such as;

I wont recommend any of them, YMMV.
