Video Editing Software recommendations

Hardware - Pixel 6 pro 256GB
Wondering what video/photo editing software is out there that

Is preferably free but will pay if I must. If paid, NOT a subscription based program
I own the license and the software on MY local device, no cloud type stuff
Can be used offline and doesn't have trackers that want to collect and store every photo and video of my family and friends
And finally is NOT GSF dependent (google store framework)

Will I have any luck finding editing software that fits these criteria? Any ideas?

Does anybody have recommendations for free open source video editing software? Ideally I'd like to be able to take videos on my phone (P6a), then put them on my laptop (Arch Linux), join the videos together, and add music if desired. Are there good apps for this preferably for Linux? I'm open to options for my phone too, as long as they have the above functionality.

nandohyphen1 sadly, FOSS software sucks ass for creative purposes. I think your best bet will be KDENLIVE on Linux, forget about any usable FOSS editors on Android. If it doesn't need to be FOSS, DaVinci Resolve is your best option by far.

How is the Pixel 6a for filming (20-30 mins)? Is it decent? Can it handle that without overheating/using all the battery? Obviously videos would use a ton of storage, but I'd transfer them to a computer after anyway.

nandohyphen1 We use a Pixel 6 to record and stream our church service. It can do about 3 to 4 hours of filming before the battery is gone. It does get somewhat warm during that time but not too much.

I think it depends on the resolution and frame rate. 4k vs 1080p and 60 vs 30fps. I haven't tried 4k@60fps for longer periods of time but pixel 8a sustains 1080p@60fps with Pixel Camera rather nicely.

Is there an app/trustworthy online website to add music to a video from my phone? I know Google Photos has great features for this, but I don't use/ don't want to use Google Photos.
