I ran into this problem, was running two accounts - one with the new local number (eSIM) and international number (physical SIM). My new number got flagged for review and looks like WhatsApp merged my old local number (iOS) and new local number to login. It started after I installed Instagram but maybe that's a coincidence. Had to move my international number to Private Space installed WhatsApp and use it there, and tried everything (installed from Obtainium originally, then Google's Play Store), nothing worked and kept being told after logging in with my new number that I needed to install an official version (also the initial loading screen takes forever). I think my new local number has been shadow banned on GrapeheneOS. It works in iOS, everyone uses WhatsApp where I am so can't really get rid of it either. Its honestly a shame, I was hoping to fully make transition to this phone as well. Now I'm stuck between two phones for my personal life.
