Update prevents Calendar notification

One of or the most recent update has caused the notifications from the app "Simple Calendar" to not play. This app has the option of using the Alarm Stream, which is the only reason I use this calendar. That means that like the phone's alarm, the audio notification can play even when I have the phone on Silent Mode.

I noticed that the phone's settings look slightly different now than they did earlier, so I'm wondering if there's an option I need to enable so I can still use the app?

If this is not possible, maybe someone can help with my usecase:
I need audio notifications of events from my calendar or Todoist or something like that, and I need to get those audio notifications at any time, so even if my phone's on Silent or Do Not Disturb (otherwise I forget about events)

Like I said that’s the reason I've been using Simple Calendar, because it can use the Alarm stream, but that's currently not working.

Any ideas?

If its this app, then you should stop using it and use the Fossify Calendar fork instead. The "Simple Mobile Tool" apps were sold to an adware company and are no longer good to use.

Yes. Seems they archived the apps a month ago, in favour of the Fossify apps.

Thanks! I've moved all my stuff to that new app. The UI looks slightly updated, but I still have the same problem, that the Alarm won't ring. Any ideas on that aspect?

Seems to be an issue that was reported yesterday. Until a fix for it is available, I don't know if there isn't anything you can do about it. I don't use the audio streams, so I can't really propose anything.
