When I use third-party launchers (including those based on the AOSP launcher), I have overlapping icons in the status bar.
The icons that are incorrectly displayed there come from apps that I no longer have installed and is always the same that is displayed.

Even when I use the GrapheneOS standard launcher, the problem persists. The problem only disappeared after I uninstalled the other launchers.

I have already gone through every app and force quit them. Even if I force quit the third-party launcher app and clear the cache, the problem persists.

Does anyone know the problem, or does anyone know what permission could trigger this behavior other than the launcher apps?

Some additional information would be helpful. When did this start happening, what device are you using, what version of GrapheneOS, what launcher(s), what version of the launcher(s), etc.?

Sry, unfortunately I can't say exactly when it started. But I had been using the third-party launcher before the problem without any problems.

    System info:

    • Device: Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
    • Build number: 2024120900

    Launcher Info:

    • Smart Launcher 6 (6.5 build 001 patch 2)
    • Fossify Launcher (1.0.0)
    • Microsoft Launcher (6.241002.0.1160250)

It seems as if the system or an app in the background is displaying old information in the status bar.

The problem persists even after restarting the smartphone.
