Greetings,
I am willing to buy a Pixel 6a and use GrapheneOS on it.
According to FAQ https://grapheneos.org/faq#cellular-tracking APM will fully disable the cellular radio transmit.
I trust GrapheneOs devs about that.
My dillemma is another one.
Planned use:flight mode 24/7 and sometimes with wifi+VPN on.
Installation: Since it cannot boot on APM default on installation https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/15087-why-isnt-airplane-mode-enabled-as-the-default-after-installation
I intend to set it up in an area away from my house(library, net cafe e.g.).
1)Let's just say the battery dies while APN is on, is there any chance for a possible signal leakage to the cellular network? Would a metal box/faraday help prevent that?
2)After the phone is turned off due to low battery as described above, should I turn it on away from my home or it's going to turned on with APM on in case it was already enabled before? Based on this https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/15218-turn-on-flightmode-after-reboot/2
airplane mode persists even after reboot (if it's already enabled) but what happens when the phone is turned off?
If so, would there be any cell leakage even if iAPM is already activated ?
I'd appreciate any input.
