I have GrapheneOS installed on a Pixel 8a and am on T-Mobile.
The native Phone app says it is unable to activate visual voicemail. No problem, I'll just install the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail third-party app.
So I go to the Aurora Store app and install the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app and grant it the "network access" permission during the installation.
However, when I launch the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail (TMVV) app it shows an error message saying that it appears that the phone is offline and to try turning off airplane mode.
My phone is not on airplane mode. So I tried the following in succession:
- Turn on airplane mode and then turn off airplane mode. No luck.
- Disable WiFi and connect to the Internet via T-Mobile 5G. No luck.
- Change the DNS server to an unfiltered server. No luck.
- Clear the cache for TMVV app and restart the phone. No luck.
- Enable exploit protection compatibility mode on the TMVV app. No luck.
No matter what I do, every time I launch TMVV, it says that the phone is offline and am unable to continue further.
Has anyone gotten the TMVV app to work and if so, how?
