Nothing Ear 2 EIM compatibility with GOS?

Does anyone here know how well Nothing Ear (2) EIM work with a P7 running GOS?

I'm specifically wondering:
1) if GOS supports the LDAC codec without Play Services and...
2) How well the EIMs function on an account without the accompanying app (wich I assume requires Play Service). I do have a profile with play service where I can install the app and do firmware updates, initial setup, etc. but daily operation would be in a play-free profile.
