Default Message alert sound list no audio..misconfig or bug?

I set my phone up to limit sale calls etc. I set it to:
"Do not disturb"
"Allow all messages"
"Alow calls from contacts and repeat calls".
"Allow Interruptions"
"Override do not distrube" (tried it toggled on and off.)
Volume for notifications is turned up and no volume sounds are muted.

The issue is in both admin/main and secondary user profiles.

The issue: when I go to choose a sound for the new sms message alert, you normally get the typical preview audio of the sound as you go between the list of alert sounds. There is no audible sound being produced so no way to know what the sounds are short of picking one and creating a sms message to trigger it.

Its a rather minor issue to me except that I had picked a random sms message alert sound and it ended up being one of the quiestest sounds and qi missed a few messages till an hour or two later when I got a call about not replying.

Again not a huge issue. If I am doing something incorrectly if someone could let me know what needs to be changed . Otherwise I thought it might be a minor bug. After all you need to be able to hear a sound to effectively choose an appropriate sound. Regardless of your config choices you should always get audioi when in the sounds choice menu as you choose different sound choices.

I have found that as notifications has its own toggle in "do not disturb" menu if I toggle it on to override "do not disturb" it works and it allows audio in the alert sounds choice menu. But with messages there is only the toggle in messages to over ride "do not disturb" but for whatever reason while it will allow sound for the actual new message alert it does not from the message sound menu of sound choices for messages.

It seems to be a quasi bug and a minor one at that. But sound menu should work for choices same as it does for notification when it is toggled to "override do not disturb".

Other than this small glitch its been a fantastic way to setup sales call screening. Cut my 3-10 sales calls per day to zero and only a couple calls per month go to vm which is now almost zero and I immediately get a alert for the vm. Or they leave a sms which I also get a alert. I use to put them in the call block list but it reached the limit in less than a year.

Maybe someone on here could test this to see if its isolated. Add a user profile with phone & sms so not to mess with your own real profiles. Try setting "do not distrub" toggle on but with "override do not distrub" for messages toggled on. Then try choosing different new message alert sounds and see if you get the normal audio of them while going thru the menu of choices. Then you can just delete the profile after the results.
