Use of AOSP calendar

Hello,
I understand Android apparently still has a legacy calendar but no visible front end App to it (at least in GrapeheneOS).
And I am cuurently using Fossify calendar and it is fine. However, some Apps offer to add an event or meeting to the calendar. When I click it would request permission for "calendar" which I grant.
But then, the event is still not visible in Fossify calendar even when granting it access to "calendar" as well.
Any tips here please?

I think that fossify calendar doesn't actually use the system calendar.

Use Etar. Its based on the original AOSP calendar application, uses the system calendar, and is maintained.

If you need to synchronize the calendar with a remote service, use DAVx5.

secrec Fossify does use the system calendars afaik. It's possible they're also behind the CalDAV sync feature though.

Etar is hardly maintained really. Sometimes a couple of bugs get fixed. But that's not any different with Fossify.

Oh, using a possibility, by the way maybe someone knows where i could find clock and calendar apps that show time and date accordingly within icon?
