Financial Transparency (I want to donate)

Hey, I would like to donate to the GrapheneOS Foundation. The whole project is super transparent, every code snippet is open source, but I cannot find a single page/document about how the money is handled. How much goes to the programmers, infrastructure, lawsuits, etc. Without that knowledge I don't feel comfortable donating my money. Is there anything like a financial report or similar, if not is there something planned for the future?

Just to simplify my donation payments to excellent developers, I had registered at GitHub with a free account.
This way, there are no extra fees for donations.

And I have now donated once again.

I'm currently relying entirely on donations to continue this work. Your sponsorship will support my development of GrapheneOS itself along with the standalone sub-projects including hardened_malloc, Vanadium, Auditor, AttestationServer, PdfViewer and more. There are also ongoing costs for hosting services, purchasing test devices and upgrading build hardware. Some of existing donation money has been set aside as an emergency fund, primarily for covering ongoing legal fees and other unpredictable expenses such as hardware failures, etc.

DeletedUser69 I did read this. That's why I asked how much goes to each of these categories, which I mentioned. And yea a copy of a tax return like thing would be awesome and not so ridiculous if we look at TOR for example: https://www.torproject.org/static/findoc/2021-2022-The_Tor_Project-AuditedFinancialStatements.pdf

In case it helps I asked something similar regarding crypto donations and got a good answer over here.

But @DeletedUser69 is correct, all you do is trust. If you use GOS and love it, donating is the best way to support them (if you don't want to or can't contribute code that fits their standards).

I've cleaned up the thread a little. @DeletedUser69 there's no need for you to belittle perfectly sensible suggestions.

To shed some light on this matter:

We don't currently provide that but we're considering how we can provide it in the future. Nearly all of the donations are used to pay developers. We don't currently have any paid management.

We don't currently publish any financial information and are considering what would make sense to publish in the future. We have to prioritize protecting ourselves from the ongoing attacks on the GrapheneOS project and the info would only really be useful to people harming us.

Seems like a very reasonable suggestion and would open up the donation stream, I'm glad you guys are considering it!

One question, you refer to @DeletedUser69 belittling someone, I don't see that anywhere? I don't know if I am looking incorrectly or if the comments they made were deleted, but I wonder if there is a way to accomplish your goal without deleting posts. Perhaps the answer is just no there isn't another way, but a little confusing to a reader of the thread!
