I've just installed Graphene OS on my new phone, a Pixel 8a, and am getting things set up. I want to connect to my watch, a Fossil Carlyle running Wear OS.
I've installed Google Play services from the app store and granted it the network permission. I then installed the Wear OS app from Google Play. The first time I opened the Wear OS app, I got a missing permission notification telling me that Wear OS needed Play services to have the "nearby devices" permission, which I granted.
However, I continue to get the same missing permission notification every time I open Wear OS, even though I can now see that the permission has been granted to Google Play services, and that it has been accessed in the last 24 hours. I've restarted the phone in the meantime in case that was the issue, but I get the same thing after a reboot
Is there anything I can change or try to get this working?
I've searched for the problem, but the only thing I've found is people saying that granting the nearby device permission solved it for them.
