Cannot enable Google Fi eSIM

As the title says, I am unable to enable my Google Fi eSIM. It shows as disabled and when I try to enable it, it loads for a moment and then stays off with no error message. What is going on?

Did you end your service with your current wireless provider after you switch to Google Fi? Did you download the Google Fi app? It guides you through eSIM download.

Most likely the Fi app depends on the Google Play suite being installed, and both Play and Fi being given various permissions, and (I suspect) being signed in to a Google account. Can you indicate which steps along those lines have been taken? Much of this happens automatically when running Google's stock OS.

Ok, but solving that situation will require changing something. For people here to offer advice, it will be necessary to have more information than "it doesn't work".

So, again:

Have you installed Google Play?
Have you signed into a Google account?
Where was the Fi app installed from?
Have you authorized Play and the Fi app any requested permissions?

Also, is the "eSIM support" option enabled?

I am also having this issue on my Pixel 9 Pro. I have installed Google Play, I'm signed in, the Fi app came from Google Play, and I have given all permissions to both Play and Fi. eSIM support is enabled. Strangely, this started happening after a factory reset - it worked before said reset as normal.

In the Google Fi logs, I see a few errors:

Physical SIMs are activated without issue, it's only eSIMs that aren't working for me.

I'm on build 2024120900. Any help would be much appreciated.
