Noob, messed up my download

I've gone through the process on Vivaldi, Brave, and Edge without success, but I also have a Chromebook so I went through it again on that and it has started flashing! I'll keep you informed.

AndyKay I recently tried installing GrapheneOS on my Pixel 9 Pro XL from previous GrapheneOS device using Vanadium and Brave. No amount of trying helped. When I was literally giving up hope, I connected my phone to my son's relatively low end Android tablet and web installer on Chrome worked on the first try. Talk about relief.

DeletedUser69 Hello DeletedUser69. I read your Reply post when you said you failed using you're GOS device to flash to you're 9Pro XL. I wanted to know if you used you're Pixel 6a or your 8a ? If you used the 6a could it have failed because it has 6GB of Ram. Asking because I was getting ready to do same thing with my 6a with GOS to a 9pro, but read your reply now i am nervous, also got a 7Pro w/GOS it has 12GB RAM. Wanted to use 6a but after I saw ur post i checked it has 6GB Ram I thought it had 8GB. Any info would help & sorry for such a long Post. Thanks. JJ™

Installing GrapheneOS does not require any searching. There is no need to pick a search engine to install GrapheneOS.

The post from the deleted user (DeletedUser69) did not mention "Brave engine" at all. That post indicated some undisclosed problem occurred when installing with the Vanadium browser, and then again when installing with the Brave browser.

I don't think we know what that issue was, so I don't think it's feasible to plan how to make that issue not appear.

After your information about Vivadi I tried Brave and then Edge to no avail, but I also have a Chromebook with the Chrome browser and it went through without a single objection. Thanks for pointing that out.

de0u I have ran into this same problem the first time i tried it it worked when i clicked unlock bootloader the menu popped up that showed my pixel 10 this was after i went into delvelpoer options and unlocked the bootloader. i held the volume down and the power and it booted into everything and showed unlock bootloader now it just shows start and i have the red triangle with fastboot under it and on the phone now the oem unlock is greyed out but it says the bootloader is unlocked under it... what did i do wrong? plaease help.

JJ1992 Deleted users can't respond, because they're deleted.

You could try installing from the 6a and see what happens. If that doesn't work, you could try the 7a.

You will want to close as many apps and browser tabs as possible to free up memory, and will want to be sure to avoid incognito/private tabs.

What search engine should I use to flash using Vanadium Browser ? One user said he used Vanadium & Brave and he couldn't get it to work no matter what, until he ended up using a Chromebook or android tablet. Will duck duck go be better or just use the Google Engine option in Vanadium it's not Chrome though?

No search engine is needed (or useful) when flashing GrapheneOS from a web browser. Just go to the web installer page and follow the steps in order.

Please avoid posting the same question in multiple threads within a short period of time.

At this point two users in different threads (GOSbert and de0u) have explained that installing GrapheneOS does not require picking a search engine. There is no relationship between picking a search engine for searching and installing GrapheneOS.

To install GrapheneOS using the web installer, go to the GrapheneOS web installer page and go through the directions in order. It is important to follow the steps in order, without skipping any steps. The directions indicate what sort of cable is necessary, which browsers are known to work, when specific configurations are required for particular browsers, etc. If trouble is encountered when carefully following those directions in order, posting a question about exactly what is going wrong is likely to result in people providing an answer that will result in a successful installation.
