Monochrome /Black- White-Look Apps on Homescreen

Hey, I just reinstalled my Google Pixel with GrapheneOS. My apps that I have on the home screen have always been black and white or monochrome. Now I've just installed Signal Messenger, but it's displayed in blue. How do I get it back to the black and white look?

smic You can't, the GrapheneOS applications icons are in black and white, it's not monochrome, black and white were chosen for the project's graphic charter and I suppose it could probably change in the future.

If an icon is compatible with Material You, then that's the only way icons can use the same color tones.

In 'background' and stuff where you can also choose colours, there is a beta version for the icons. That makes most of the icons monochrome on the homescreen. On Graphene's standard launcher.

Another alternative:
You can install a third party launcher and use an app like Arcticons (on Accrescent) to change app icons.

Just be warned that third party launchers can sometimes be less stable.
