Klingerman01 Generally I used google play books and audible for my audio books needs, but I'm looking for a good Foss replacement. I already have several audio book files in mp3 format but using the built in audio player leaves much to be desired. Preferably the player would have bookmarks and the ability to pick up from where I left off.
GrouchyGrape Klingerman01 if you have the desire, I highly recommend setting up an Audiobookshelf server and hosting it yourself. Very fun and great experience for me at least.
Klingerman01 GrouchyGrape I wonder if I can get this running on a raspberry pi. Might be a fun project.
boards_of_canada33 I can vouch that both of these options are good. I personally use audiobookshelf to sync to a local directory on device and I play them in voice. I've found the playback in audiobookshelf a little buggy but maybe they've fixed it.
DeletedUser43 I've tested multiple apps, Voice works best for me. A feature you may don't know you need: you can set pause to skip back as well. If necessary, I remove DRM from any audiobooks I buy, then store on Tresorit.
