Microphone access issue with element app

Hi gurus,

Using Matrix app on Pixel 8 pro with latest GrapheneOS.
Calls work great but something strange has started happening.
Make a call, switch to another app, Microphone access goes away.
Same when phone goes to lock screen.
Doesn't happen in other similar apps like WhatsApp / Zoom.

Tried the same exact app on normal Android phone.. Microphone access stays.

This is causing a lot of issues. How do I make sure that if Element app is not in focus while on Audio or Video call, the microphone access doesn't go away?

Confirmed it by noticing that top right green dot goes away, when focus shifts or phone locks.

Please help.

What version of Element are you on? Apparently the latest version says that it fixed the background microphone loss. Although it says Android 14, so maybe Android 15 causes it to break again for some reason.

Yep I am running the latest, from their and saw that fix. And yes it could be that Android 15 broke it.
I will raise it with them too, but thought I'd check here too, if it was an OS issue 😇
