Tool to Convert VCF 2.1 to 4.x?

Does anyone know a good tool to convert old vcf files to new versions? I exported my contacts from the GOS Contacts app. But, the place I want to import it to doesn't work with anything less than version 3. The GOS export seems to be version 2.1.

I'm assuming any web-based tool would be just a way to toss my contact information into the street to be monetized. Is that assumption too harsh? And, I'm having difficulty finding some kind of open source tool to do the job.

A web tool might just use JavaScript to do the conversion locally.

A relatively safe way to try:

Load the page
Disconnect from the network
Try to convert...if it works, great
Either way, clear your browsing data before reconnecting to the network

That's not 100% risk free, but maybe worth it if you don't have any other options

If you're a Proton user, you can try uploading it there and export the file. I personally use Apple's contacts app to import and export.

Actually, importing the vcf file into Proton's Calendar is where I'm having the issue (it wants the file version to be greater than 3).

I'm going to take a look at some of those web-based converters. I'll probably look into exporting a CSV file instead of a VCF.

vcard2to3 seems to have done the job (I only needed to get to version 3 for Proton to import it):
