Transferring photos from admin user to other users.

Hello,

I know that there is an option to easily install apps from the admin to another user through "Instal available apps". Is there a similar option for photos?

I have photos in the admin user, and i want them to be transferred to other users as i like, how do i do that without downloading them over and over again from the internet?

Sounds like the Inter Profile Sharing app (available in Accrescent) might work. One caveat is that this app seems to rely on what the GrapheneOS team considers a VPN leak. When that leak is fixed, the app may not work if a VPN is also used.

Files can also be shared between owner and Private Space, or vice-versa, if that setup would work for you instead of user profiles.

I don't know what kind of answer you're expecting. User profiles are meant to be isolated, so sharing files between them is not a feature of the OS.

I already suggested the Inter Profile Sharing app. I've also heard it's possible to use LocalSend across profiles.

Other than using those apps, I'm afraid your options are either external USB drive or cloud service.

Well, let's put it this way. If it were that simple and files, memory contents, etc... could be shared back and forth like that, then you could save yourself the trouble of having separate profiles.

Photos can be seamlessly shared online (which I haven't tried, I don't use multiple profiles) via Proton Drive for example or offline via PC or removable storage. In either case you will have a copy (duplicate) of the media taking space in their relevant storage (profiles are isolated as it has been said), therefore have less available storage.

Same with the InterProfileSharing app, if you mean you want photos to be permanently synced, you can use "Syncthing-Fork"
