Hi, I'm a noob.

I've been using GrapheneOS since the release of the P8 (its great software) however since the update Ad15 I'm struggling with private space.

My general use case for 'The Space' is to use apps that rely on google services such as AppleMusic (yes I know they have all my interest data and such, but I'm lazy and I've accepted that (plus my wife set-up a family account so..)(god I've over shared again))).

Anyways... Every time I use 'The Space' and lock the phone is closes all apps, am I just being a normi and should I disable the to password and bio or is there something else I can do, in order to use apps in the background or in lock screen? (Sorry for the long winded question).

Wadder don't worry, I take privacy/security pretty seriously, but I've been using Spotify for streaming (under multiple layers of aliases) because I too am lazy.

Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Private space > Lock private space automatically > Only after device restarts

Unless you have a threat model that would advise otherwise, I think this is pretty safe for most of us. I'm not currently using private space so I'm unable to comment on the reliability of keeping apps running, but I believe this will solve your issue.

Many thanks for your response, I don't feel as stupid as I am now although in hindsight that's makes total sense.

Thanks again I'll give this ago

GrouchyGrape you wrote that you've "been using Spotify for streaming (under multiple layers of aliases)". Does that mean that you use spotify anonymously? If so, how?
