Problem with GOS Messages app - pics sent by others deleted

I keep experiencing a problem where if someone sends me a message and I glance at it before the image has loaded completely, the image gets deleted and there's no way to recover it.

This has happened a number of times.

Anyone else observed this?

Running P6P here, Lastest firmware, I'm having the same issue, someone sends me a picture it downloads in but it's just blank on my screen, I can scroll through the text messages like it's there, but it's just a blank and I can continue to read through the rest of the text message. When they are sending just one picture so MMS

Testing here, installed GPS along with Google Messages, works with no-issues.
So weird. Everything was working before last couple updated I think. I see when they try and send a gif also, it's a blank screen on GOS message
