@AccJustForThat AOSP Gallery app is going to be completely replaced soon. It doesn't make sense for us to make huge improvements to it when we're going to be throwing it out. It had a badly designed, dangerous user interface for removing albums (folders) so we removed it. It's still possible to delete everything in them at once with it, or use the files app for it as suggested here. AOSP Gallery is going to be replaced. with a better app. All of the no longer maintained AOSP apps are being either overhauled by us or replaced, but in this case it's beyond hope for an overhaul.
