Hi All,
So first, I'm not sure really how to properly describe this build I've been thinking of, offline is as close as I could think but its not truly offline.
So, I've recently found some apps which are purely offline which honestly, are awesome, gramophone for example is an amazingly simple audio player, then we have Aves which is also excellent and is essentially offline.
So, my first idea was to rely on seedvault, but... that didn't end well...
It couldn't restore the backup I created, honestly if this worked over webdav I dont think I'd be posting this here.
Anyways, my idea is to store files like music (10GB ish) and photos (another 10GB ish) locally, then have some automated way to backup the files.
There is easysync which is a simple backup utility to a dav server, you can do purely backup which is nice, I'd have it backup when I am at home, then use say Mullvad for my VPN.
Then there is a Exfilac, which backs up data to S3 (Backblaze B2 for example), but it doesn't seem to do encryption?
So I thought I'd ask the community, if I wanted minimal data usage from my apps, such as photos and audio, then have it backup over my LAN when I'm home, could you recommend a way to handle this?.
To add, this isn't linked to any threat model, its more just a fun idea I had and wanted to try.
Thanks!
