Hey Everyone!
Will I need to download the play store to used pain subscription apps like mysudo?

[deleted] Generally, yes. You may be able to sideload a paid app from another device, etc., but my understanding is that this method will fail for most apps (I think they perform on-device verification via the Play Store account).

I installed HyperCalc using Aurora. When I selected HyperCalc, Aurora reported that the app cost $3.99, but I had already purchased it. Aurora allowed me to install the app without issue. Previous installs worked just fine, but a recent update requires that I install the app from the Google Play Store (GPS) and if not, the app complains that it wasn't installed through GPS and quits.

Oh, I forgot. I purchased a subscription for Pulse SMS, so it cannot validate the subscription through GPS but it allows me to sign-on to the app, which is really signing in to the Pulse SMS server, and it runs just fine. Pulse SMS has informed me that I have six months left on my subscription, but in order to renew, I MUST go through GPS.

WeatherUnderground is a different story. I purchased a subscription through GPS, but installed the app through Aurora and as I stated, I'm not logged into GPS. WeatherUnderground does not reflect that I have a subscription until I sign into GPS.
