How to block particular domains

I'm using Mullvad VPN, double tunnel in fact, with one instance running on my router and second on every device I use, is there a way to block a few particular domains on my Pixel running GOS with Mullvad?

Just to be sure they don't get even accidentally opened, YouTube for example?

install pihole on a raspberry pi,
change the dhcp settings on your router and put the pihole as dns server for all the devices.
block the domain in pihole..

blocking at dns is the only way to effectively block a domain

which firmware are you running on your router? openwrt, ddwrt?
