DeletedUser87 saying that one thing doesn't need Play Services "in otder to run" is one thing, but an app can still be able to communicate with them even with network disabled as you certainly know (especially when it comes to Google apps or apps designed in some way to work with Google either via account or for Ads, crashlytics and analytics). This has been said here many times and I would like to point this out. Especially when poster suggests they intend to use banking apps also and many of them refuse to work without Play Services installed, some even when you use them. So suggesting that an app doesn't need Play Services (in order to run) doesn't mean it will not/can not use them for whatever functionality inclung network access if they are present.
