TOR over VPN for selected apps

I use VPN profile wide which is fine, but not always connected

I there a way to use TOR for selected apps (that are not speed critical like email thunderbird/fairmail) over the VPN?

Not sure how to do this on android/gos.

With orbot u can use split tunneling, i.e. choosing which apps its network traffic u want to tunnel through it. Orbot uses a vpn slot and since u already use vpn, as far i'm aware u can't use both at the same time in the same profile as there is only 1 vpn slot available to use.

Note that orbot is not an official tor project.

Leave your VPN as is. No need to change anything on this point.

I too use Tor over VPN for some apps.
With Orbot in a not VPN mode.

In Orbot you need to activate the Advanced user mode in the Settings.

In Orbot choose applications to route through Tor.

In Molly for example you can check
Settings > Network > Use a Proxy > Tor via Orbot.

If your app doesn't have the option, you can set up the option using the Socks proxy.

In Telegram for example you can check
Settings > Data and Storage > Proxy > Use Proxy > localhost:9050

Be careful that Orbot is not recommended by GrapheneOS devs. And is not official from Tor team.
