Youtube not connecting

I've installed youtube with play services enabled. All on owner profile.

youtube says i'm offline and unable to connect to the internet.

What is the fix for this please?

lawman though I am not sure of the reason you have an issue to have youtube connected, or why you are trying to setup youtube instead of some other youtube-streaming app.

but have you heard of newpipe? it's a very rare case to have connection problem for me, and always a VPN location rotation fixes it.

wow, just discovered newpipe. what an amazing app. Love the background play. How does this keep tabs on your subscriptions without an account? Can you transfer your subscriptions to pc?

clipious wasn't reliable at all. half the videos wouldn't play.

I'd still like to figure out why my youtube won't connect, incase ever needed in future.

Subs are stored in the app's local storage. I believe this could also be done with local storage in a browser, but sites typically aren't designed to be account-free which unfortunately gives the misconception that accounts are necessary.

Can you transfer your subscriptions to pc?

You can export your data (and even just your subs). I think the only thing that will likely accept the newpipe data on PC though is FreeTube, but maybe I'm wrong.

lawman Newpipe is awesome! Your subscriptions work as an RSS feed I'm pretty sure, which means it's all local on device.

You can transfer your subscriptions to PC by exporting them in NewPipe, in the "Subscriptions" tab, and then three dots in the top right.

An excellent PC YouTube client that works consistently like NewPipe is called FreeTube. It's available on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

found that playstore wasn't connecting either. reinstalled and now youtube is fine, but i'll use newpipe for the background play i reckon. thx

lawman for me it was way more comfortable to use ReVanced. It's basically OG YouTube, but with various patches applied. It uses microG so that my account is separate (and no IPC happens to microG due to the different package name) from the rest of the system. It has SponsorBlock, UI changes and a lot of other cool stuff. There's also Grayjay which is developed by FUTO and is another recommended option. Newpipe has become a but unreliable over the last few months, so I'm just suggesting alternatives.

lawman that shouldn't happen. Did you uncheck any patches in the RevancedManager when patching YouTube?
