Looking for a good, secure text encryption app

What is recommended for text encryption - just the ability to encrypt and decrypt text. Not looking for secure messaging or email, I have that covered.

I found Paranoia Text Encryption, which uses AES256 and Argon2 for key derivation.

But I don't know if it's been vetted; also it's web based and not an app.

Thoughts/recommendations?
