xxx I used to do that. However it is only a base version w/o the cool GCam features like Motion Mode. To get all GCam features installe it from Aurora without mis-sproofing your device model. I wouldn't use Aurora for critical things like Browser where I want reliable updates, but for GCam w/ Network access revoked it is acceptable to me.
FTR extracting from factory image:
- Download factory image from Google and check checksum
- unzip it
- unzip the inner archive (the biggest one)
- until Android 12 (including) a simg2img conversion was required here
- Mount the product.img, either with
gnome-disk-image-mounter
and gio mount -d
or manually using a loop device
- navigate to the mount point and copy the
priv-app/GoogleCamera/GoogleCamera.apk
- umount
- Mount the
