I've been using a Work Profile using Shelter to throw Android Auto in an isolated profile for awhile, but not need to switch user profiles.
If Sandboxed Google Play is installed in the owner profile, and/or the work profile, submenu(s) appears under Settings->Apps to configure them. If I install it in the Private Space though, no specific submenu for it appears, which then makes it so that I can't configure any options there for Private Space Google Play. I don't know if it's an edge case where if I didn't have a work profile, it'd work or not, but nuking my Work Profile for testing would mess up my OsmAnd+ setup.
I'm considering this usecase for the profiles
Owner profile: No Google Play
Work profile: Google Play, everything network permission disabled, sole purpose is to get OsmAnd+ on my car's dashboard (I have a secondary user signed into a Google account. I install it there, temp enable USB debugging/dev mode to install it across profiles)
Private space profile: Google play apps that would need connectivity, like MySudo, or if I decided in the future than I wanted ProtonMail notifications and to move it there.
