What provider/app do you use for VoIP and why?

A quick comparison of common providers is below (no particular order).

Twilio + Linphone

$2/month for registration to send SMS, +$1.15 per phone line
No SMS support with Linphone, but could forward to others (e.g., Google Voice)

JMP.chat

$5/month for the first line, then $2.50 for each additional line
Open source
Real name and info isn't needed

VOIP.ms

Photo ID required for account creation
$0.85 per phone line
SMS through the VoIP.ms SMS app

MySudo

$1 for the first line, then $1.66 per line (can only buy 3 or 9 lines)
Difficult to pay with de-googled phone

Zemexters

I picked one that supports SMS, voicemail, E911, and works well with the native dialer through SIP integration. Call quality’s been solid and support actually replies when I’ve had questions.

Setup was simple, and forwarding to my mobile works without extra steps. The call logs stay clean and recordings attach automatically, which is handy for tracking customer interactions.

I used mysudo, hushed and jmp.chat.

Never able to create a Twilio account, they block me immediately after account creation.

Mysudo doesn't have support for payments in grapheneos.

Notifications are not reliable with hushed, used to miss some calls.

Jmp.chat is working fantastically, their support is very helpful and responds quickly.

Planning to port my main number too to jmp.chat as i recently figured out whatsapp can use passkeys to login without the sms code. So just in case Whatsapp detects number as voip and blocks sms during the registration.
They have data only sim too, and the data never expires.
